Withdrawal

Carmel Convent, MAMC Durgapur, follows a rigid policy when it comes to withdrawal of a student from the school.

In case parents are thinking of withdrawing their children from school, the following procedures need to be followed-

  • Prior to withdrawing a student from the school, the parents/ guardian(s) have to provide a notice of one calendar month, in writing along with an advance payment of one term's fee. Until all dues have been paid full, the school will not issue a school leaving certificate for the student.
  • Fees are due as long as a pupil's name is on roll.
  • A fee of ₹300/- will be charged for the Transfer Certificate (TC)

Carmel Convent also has the right to withdraw students from the school in the following cases-

  • If a student fails in two consecutive classes, twice in the same class, or twice in four years
  • If any pupil is too old to repeat the class.
  • If a pupil has been continuous absent from school for 15 days without a leave letter
  • If a pupil is injurious to the moral tone of the school
  • If parents/wards show little or no interest in the progress and development of their children in the school.
  • Special emphasis is given to inculcate a high degree of discipline among pupil. Any kind of disobedience or objectionable behaviour may result in the removal of a pupil from the school.
