Parental Co-operation

Carmel Convent aims at an all-around education and not just literacy, to make the students fruitful citizens of the country. Hence, parents and guardians are requested to cooperate with the school authorities.

Parents can cooperate with the school authorities by-

  • Urging their children to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Following up the child’s reports, so that they can stay them informed about their children’s diligence in studies and their behaviour in school.
  • Occasionally meeting the principal to discuss matters about greater progress in their children’s studies.
  • Ensuring that their children complete all the lessons given to them on a daily basis.
  • Insisting on the neatness and cleanliness in the students dress, textbooks, exercise books, etc.
  • Not sending for the children during class hours except in case of unforeseen urgency. In such a case a written application must be made.
  • Not standing near the classrooms.
  • Encouraging the children to take part in the co-curricular activities of the school.
  • Attending Parent-Teacher meeting without fail.
  • Encouraging children to speak in English, since it is the medium of language in the school.
  • Making complaints, if any, directly to the principal and not to the class teacher.

All communications should be addressed to the Principal. There should be no correspondence with the teachers. The progress of the pupil or school business should not be discussed at the teacher’s residence.

Parents are requested to read these pages carefully and observe the school rules faithfully. Children suffering from sicknesses like measles, mumps, and chickenpox should not be sent to school for 15 to 21 days.

In consideration of the student being admitted by the school for the purpose of education at the request of the parents/ guardian, they agree with the school that the student will attend the school regularly and will observe and comply with all the rules and regulations and that the parent/ guardian shall pay to the school regularly all the fees and charges as may be due.
