Examination

  • Three terminals will be held for class I-X to register the progress of the student. Every subject in the curriculum is important. The average marks of all the three terminals will be considered to decide the student's promotion to the next class.
  • A project in every class of 20 marks (Class I to Class X) will be assigned by the teacher for the final term.
  • Merit Cards will be awarded to the students securing the following percentage in a subject for all the three terms.
Class I to II 95% above.
Class III to VIII 90% above.
Class IX to X 85% above
  • No child will absent herself the previous day of the exam without a medical certificate.
  • A student who misses an examination, will not appear for it at a later date. Parents are requested never to send their children to school when they are ill or recovering from an illness.
  • A minimum attendance of 80% will be required for promotion.
  • In order to be promoted, a student should secure a minimum of 40% in all subjects.
  • English being the medium of instruction, no student failing in it, will be promoted to a higher class.
  • All fee concession of students who fail in any class is automatically cancelled.
  • The academic year has three terms
2nd term examination which carried 100 marks for each subject
3rd term (final) examination which carries 80 marks + 20 marks projects.
  • After the 1st terminal and 2nd terminal, the answer scripts will be shown to the parents.
  • Answer papers of Final Examination will be given for inspection on request.
  • If a test cannot be held because of unforeseen circumstances on the scheduled date, it will be held on the next class day.
  • Students absent from class the day before a test will not be allowed for the test.
  • Computer education is provided to all students of classes I to X. Its objective is to introduce computer as a tool to supplement and expand the learning experience through the use of educational and logic building programmes with an accent on learning through play.
  • A student who uses unfair means will not be allowed to answer the entire exams and promotion will be withheld.
  • If the project in a subject is not submitted (in time) no marks will be awarded for the same.
  • A student who fails in two consecutive classes or twice in the same class or twice in four years will be required to withdraw from the school. Pupils who are too old to repeat the class will also be required to withdraw.
  • In the matter of promotion or failure, the Principal's decision is final. Request for reconsideration of a decision will not be entertained.
